Connecticut Soaring Association is pleased to announce the addition of our FOURTH glider to the CSA Fleet. The Schweizer 1-34 joins our 1-26 and two 2-33 gliders. The 1-34 is a higher-performance glider suitable for beginning cross country and more advanced flying.
2016 SEASON IS NEARLY HERE!
April 9, 2016
Its a rainy May day, but soaring weather isn’t too far away! We have a lot of news to announce including:
CSA has acquired our FOURTH glider – a high performance single seat Schweizer 1-34. The 1-34 is an all-metal, 34:1 glide ratio glider that is a great step up for private pilots who have experience in the 1-26. The addition of the 1-34 makes CSA one of the biggest glider clubs in the east, and gives pilots of all ranges of experience, from new student, to transitioning power pilot, to experienced glider pilot something to fly and to challenge themselves with.
Also, the towplane is coming back together this week. The rebuilt engine has been received and is being installed, and the towplane is being annualed.
